GastroCH4ECK Gastrolyzer

The GastroCH4ECK™ is a portable breath CH4, H2 and O2 monitor that allows health professionals to accurately detect a range of gastrointestinal disorders such as fructose intolerance, lactose intolerance, SIBO, IBS, etc. An O2 reading is taken to motivate patients into providing an end-tidal sample.

If they are unable to do this the GastroCH4ECK™ will automatically correct the reading saving the patient from embarrassment and having to carry out another test. A percentage of patients do not produce hydrogen and therefore would not be diagnosed by the use of HBT alone.

Therefore, the role of methane is to ensure that patients who are non-hydrogen producers but produce methane instead are not miss-diagnosed.Medical literature shows that the level of methane producers varies by gender and population group from approximately 33-41%.

Properties:

  • Online breath sampling for instant results.
  • Breath bag sampling for simultaneous testing of larger groups.
  • Requires calibration just once per month, saving precious time and calibration gas costs.
  • Fast warm up time of 30 minutes.
  • O2 correction for accurate results.
  • Fast warm up time of 30 minutes.
  • Real-time reading graph shown on screen to motivate patients and give instant results.
